The Photizo Vetcare Unit which I use when required during treatment, is great for releasing muscle spasms and relieving the horse of pain in said muscles due to trauma, overuse or ill fitting tack.

The LED's found in the device are similar to lasers, but differ in the way the light energy is delivered.

Lasers can either 'hot' or 'cold'.  Hot lasers are intense enough to have the ability to cut through soft tissue, whereas cold lasers have the same outcome as red light, but also the ability to cause damage to the eye - which is not possible with red light.

The cluster of LED's found in the Photizo Vetcare Unit cover a larger area than the singular light created with a laser and do not deliver enough power to damage the tissue, but they do deliver enough energy to promote natural self-healing and pain relief. With a low peak power output, the LED’s provide a much gentler delivery of the same healing wavelengths of light.
